The Change, Release and Environment Management team is responsible for the governance and application of the change management process used in Queensland Shared Services to administer system changes, the planning, coordination and control of system releases for each of the HR Payroll, Finance and Third-Party solutions managed by QSS and the preparation and management of environment-related activities to maintain systems and solutions and ensure their integrity and stability.

As the Manager - Change, Release and Environment Management, you will:
• Leverage expert knowledge of the ITIL framework (specifically Release, Control and Validation) and the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), with a focus on testing practices and agile release methodologies.
• Manage and lead Change, Release, and Environment Management services, ensuring operational resources, risk, budget, service levels, deadlines and outcomes are effectively managed to maintain robust processes and systems.
• Provide strategic advice on service direction, prepare operational plans and establish continual improvement practices to deliver customer-centric, quality solutions while reducing costs.
• Ensure rigorous internal controls, risk management strategies, and compliance with Queensland Government cyber security and information assurance standards.
• Lead and participate in projects and initiatives within established project management frameworks, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes within required timeframes.
• Build team capability and foster client-focused collaboration by coaching, mentoring and implementing professional development strategies to sustain performance and meet future demands.
• Manage financial, human and other resources to meet service requirements, monitor and evaluate service delivery strategies, and forecast resource needs and budgets.
• Communicate confidently and concisely through reports and submissions, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders to support effective Change and Release Management processes.
