Your new role:

Join Metro South Health as a skilled Carpenter/Joiner, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of hospital and healthcare facilities. Working as part of a collaborative trades team, you'll install, maintain and repair critical infrastructure, manage maintenance activities, liaise with stakeholders and contractors, and help ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise, problem-solving skills and commitment to quality will directly support frontline healthcare services every day.

About you:

You're a qualified and motivated trades professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality carpentry and joinery services while contributing to safe, reliable healthcare environments.

  • Trade qualified in Carpentry/Joinery with experience in building maintenance or construction.
  • Skilled in diagnosing issues, interpreting technical drawings and delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Able to manage competing priorities, work independently and consistently deliver quality outcomes.
  • A collaborative communicator who builds positive relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Committed to workplace safety, continuous improvement and delivering exceptional customer-focused service.

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital:

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
