About the role

In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering one of QBCC's most important capability initiatives: the QBCC Academy Onboarding Program. You'll help new employees build the confidence, capability and understanding they need to contribute effectively from day one. Through high-quality onboarding experiences, you'll help employees connect to QBCC's purpose, understand our customers and stakeholders and develop the mindset and behaviours required to operate as a modern regulator.

In this role you will:

  • Facilitate QBCC Academy Welcome Days and onboarding workshops, creating engaging, memorable experiences for new starters
  • Deliver high-impact learning experiences through face-to-face workshops and virtual learning sessions
  • Create learning environments that encourage participation, discussion, reflection and practical application
  • Represent and model the QBCC Way, helping employees understand our values, behaviours and decision-making principles
  • Design, develop and continuously improve learning resources, tools and content aligned with organisational priorities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure onboarding reflects operational and regulatory requirements
  • Embed structured learning activities, assessment and workplace transfer strategies to reinforce capability development
  • Monitor program effectiveness and use participant feedback and insights to continuously improve the onboarding experience
  • Support consistency across teams and regions while ensuring learning remains relevant and practical

This position is based in Brisbane; the successful candidate will enter a Flexible Work Arrangement reflecting Brisbane as their primary location. While the role allows for flexibility working from home, regular in-person attendance at the Brisbane office is required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated experience delivering onboarding programs, workshops or capability initiatives
  • Strong instructional design skills and experience developing learning content across a range of formats
  • The ability to create positive learning experiences that support behaviour change and workplace performance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools
  • A passion for helping people succeed and creating exceptional employee experiences
  • Experience facilitating leadership development or leadership onboarding programs will be highly regarded.
