About the role

The Senior Administration Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of the Bribie Island Satellite Health Centre. As a key member of the facility leadership team, you will coordinate administrative operations, workforce activities, financial and procurement processes, and resource management to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred healthcare services. You will work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to drive service excellence, support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Liaise with and provide administrative support to the Facility Manager to develop and co-ordinate administrative systems, work practices, physical and human resources and quality activities by overseeing the facility utilisation of assets such as the facility room/car bookings and equipment management.
  • Supervise and support the facility administration team to maximise clinical outcomes and productivity by co-ordinating administrative staff activities, work practices and resources with a view to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of services in line with changing priorities and accreditation requirements.
  • In consultation with the Facility Manager, undertake the procurement of supplies and services in line with standard financial management practices by utilising Financial Management and Materials Management Information System (S4HANA) including the processing of accounts payable and maintain records and petty cash reconciliation account.
  • In collaboration with the Facility Manager, oversee the logging and maintenance of engineering requests in a timely manner.
  • Undertake human resource duties for facility-based administration staff including rostering, monitoring of time sheets and assume responsibility for facility-based orientation, annual performance and development and provision of mandatory training opportunities.
