About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Clinical Support
- Work cooperatively and effectively in the Occupational Therapy and Music Therapy Teams under the direction of more senior staff, to deliver occupational therapy clinical support services to assist in the provision of efficient and effective service to patient and families of Children's Health Queensland within the clinical areas.
- Maintain relevant clinical documentation and collection of statistics in accordance with organisational guidelines.
- Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments and interventions as delegated by the occupational therapists.
- Lead group and individual treatment sessions within clinical areas in conjunction with an occupational therapist and provide timely feedback to the occupational therapist regarding performance.
- Undertake defined changes to treatment programs in consultation with the occupational therapist.
- Provide basic patient and family education and training, under the direction of an occupational therapist on a defined range of topics.
- Assist in management and maintenance of equipment and clinical consumables for clinical areas including stock audits and ordering and invoice order processing and liaison.
- Contribute to workplace health and safety programs within the clinical service area of burns to optimise prevention of harm.
