Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse within our Adult Mental Health Inpatient Units at Logan Hospital, you'll deliver safe, compassionate and recovery-focused care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness. Working alongside experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals, you'll play a key role in assessment, care planning, therapeutic interventions and supporting consumers throughout their recovery journey. In this role you will:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care in an acute inpatient mental health setting.
- Complete comprehensive mental health and risk assessments and develop individualised care plans.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, consumers and their families to achieve positive recovery outcomes.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, education and support to consumers and carers.
- Contribute to a safe, respectful and recovery-oriented ward environment.
- Work across adult inpatient mental health units within a 24/7 rotating roster.
About you:
You're a compassionate and resilient Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional mental health care. You bring sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting consumers through their recovery. To be successful, you'll have:
- Experience in mental health nursing or a genuine interest in developing your career in acute mental health.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- The ability to build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning and quality improvement.
- Flexibility to work a 24-hour, 7-day rotating roster.

Logan Hospital:
Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
