About your opportunity

The Forensic Liaison Officer (FLO) ensures oversight, monitoring and coordination of the care of consumers on a forensic order and high risk adult and adolescent consumers across the Townsville and North West HHS, as per the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2016 and relevant State-Wide policies.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $128,169 to $151,949 p.a. (HP4/NG7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: For Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Work tertiary qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution are required.
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Highly Desirable: Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.
  • Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
