Senior Creative Officer

The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) seeks a Senior Creative Officer for a part-time (3 days/week) fixed-term role in Communications and Public Engagement.
As a Senior Designer, you will interpret briefs and deliver creative assets aligned with corporate branding and departmental priorities, and have demonstrated experience using:
• InDesign
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Some experience in video/stills capture and basic audio/lighting is required. The role spans digital and print, including reports, brochures, signage, advertising, events, motion graphics, corporate communications, photo editing and colour grading. You’ll be an agile, collaborative creative, able to manage shifting priorities and contribute to positive outcomes for Queenslanders.

The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI) is seeking a Senior Creative Officer to join the Communications and Public Engagement branch for a part-time (3 days per week) fixed term opportunity.

As a Senior Designer, you are experienced in taking briefs, interpreting clients'needs, and translating them into creative assets aligned to corporate branding guidelines and the strategic priorities of the department. You will have demonstrated experience using all the essential tools for the job:
• InDesign
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• After Effects and Premiere Pro.

Some experience shooting video and stills as well as operating basic audio and lighting equipment - and the willingness to develop these skills - is also required.
We are looking for a Designer and Creative with a broad range of experience across digital and print deliverables including but not limited to:
• report design
• brochures and signage
• merchandise
• advertising and out-of-home
• events and activations design
• short form video, reels and motion graphics
• general corporate communications assets
• photo editing and colour grading.

DETSI's portfolio is broad and diverse, requiring you to be an agile creative, capable of moving between briefs as priorities shift. You will be a collaborative team member who is curious about the wealth of knowledge across the department, and who values making a positive impact on the lives of Queenslanders.
