The Principal Data Management Officer will lead data projects and activities in DETSI's Innovation Division to ensure data collected is accurate, reliable, and actionable, providing critical insights to enable reporting and inform program design, measure outcomes, and enhance the impact of innovation initiatives. Working in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the data manager will contribute to building a stronger innovation ecosystem in Queensland by using data to identify opportunities, drive continuous improvement and guide evidence-based solutions to economic and social challenges. This role directly supports the division's commitment to fostering innovation, creating jobs and delivering better outcomes for all Queenslanders.
The role involves:
• leading and coordinating the strategic monitoring, analysis, and reporting of performance and financial outcomes.
• leading projects and activities to trial, rollout and maintain data management systems.
• analysing large and complex datasets.
• preparing briefs, reports, and dashboards.
