This role sits within the Information Privacy and Governance team, which provides expert advice and awareness activities in relation to the core functions of Information Privacy for the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.

As a Senior Policy Officer you will:
- Liaise, consult, negotiate and provide advice to departmental staff and clients in relation to the Information Privacy Act 2009 and Queensland Privacy Principles.
- Develop tools and resources to support and promote departmental compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
- Prepare and deliver information and awareness activities to departmental staff in relation to the information privacy and other primary functions of the business area.
- Provide advice and work collaboratively with departmental business areas in undertaking privacy impact assessments to identify privacy risks associated with departmental projects.
- Provide written and oral policy advice across the Department in relation to the primary functions of the business area.
- Lead and manage small projects across the business area as required.
