What your day could look like

As a Breast Imaging Radiographer Director, you'll be at the heart of a service that changes lives through early detection and care. Your work will extend beyond the clinical space—supporting teams, improving services and strengthening outcomes for women across diverse communities. You'll be part of a close-knit network where your leadership genuinely matters.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering expert breast imaging services that support early diagnosis and better patient journeys
  • Guiding and developing a capable, confident team that thrives on learning and shared success
  • Leading service improvements that enhance quality, safety and access across multiple sites
  • Working collaboratively with leaders to shape a responsive, future-focused imaging service

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who brings both skill and heart to your work. You value connection—whether that's building trust with patients or supporting colleagues to grow—and you approach challenges with confidence and care. You're motivated by making a real difference, not just in clinical outcomes, but in how people experience care.

You're ready to step into a role where your leadership supports others to succeed, where your ideas help shape services, and where your work contributes to healthier communities. You thrive in environments where integrity guides decisions, innovation is encouraged, and every voice matters.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Registration in Medical Radiation Practice with a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Advanced experience in mammography and breast imaging practice
  • Strong leadership, communication and team development capabilities
  • Confidence in clinical decision-making and driving continuous improvement

You'll stand out from the crowd if you bring experience in breast ultrasound and/or additional specialist or postgraduate training.

Most importantly, you're passionate about improving women's health and committed to creating care that reflects compassion, dignity and courage—while embracing opportunities to innovate and lead meaningful change in a regional setting.
