What your day could look like

You'll be part of something bigger than day-to-day care. You'll support people through some of life's most challenging moments, helping them build hope, resilience and independence while remaining connected to their community. In return, you'll enjoy the rewards of regional practice—strong professional relationships, genuine community connection and opportunities to broaden your skills and influence.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Supporting adults to achieve their recovery goals through compassionate, person-centred mental health care that creates lasting positive outcomes
  • Building trusted partnerships with consumers, families and service providers to deliver connected care and strengthen wellbeing across the community
  • Using your expertise to identify opportunities for innovation, improve experiences and help shape the future of community mental health services

Let's talk about you!

You're someone who sees the person behind the presentation. You lead with compassion, communicate with integrity and understand that the greatest impact often comes from building trust and helping people believe in what's possible. You're energised by meaningful work, value strong relationships and want to be part of a team that supports your growth while making a genuine difference in the lives of others.

You enjoy the variety, autonomy and connection that community-based practice offers. Whether you're supporting an individual through recovery, working alongside colleagues to solve complex challenges or sharing your knowledge with others, you're motivated by creating positive outcomes that matter.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health care, including assessment, care coordination and recovery-focused practice
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills that help you connect with consumers, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound clinical judgement, initiative and a commitment to safe, person-centred care

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate mental health nursing qualifications, professional mental health nursing credentials and/or experience working in community or regional healthcare settings.
