The Office of the Information Commissioner is seeking an AO7 Senior Review Officer to conduct independent external reviews of decisions made by Queensland government agencies under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act). Your day will involve regular communication with review parties, primarily by phone and in writing, and providing guidance and mentoring to Review Officers. The is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

About the Role

The Senior Review Officer is responsible for assessing routine and complex external review applications under the RTI and IP Acts. You will engage with parties to discuss review issues, identifying opportunities for informal resolution, or prepare clear and concise formal decisions for delegate consideration. You will also mentor and guide Review Officers, and contribute to meeting organisational performance and service targets.
