Your responsibilities
As an Intake and Assessment Officer, Ethical Standards, you will:
- Undertake intake and assessments of suspected corrupt conduct and public interest disclosure matters in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
- Refer matters to the Crime and Corruption Commission to ensure compliance with the Crime and Corruption Act 2001 in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in effectively managing public interest disclosures submitted under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 in accordance with legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures.
- Effectively monitor ethical standards matters, including management of shared mailboxes, file management systems and case registers.
- Assist in providing effective support and advice regarding ethical standards matters, including corrupt conduct, public interest disclosures and conflicts of interest, while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
What are we looking for?
The position requires an applicant who can demonstrate:
- Experience in an ethical standards function dealing with employee conduct matters.
- Capability and eagerness to offer support to the Ethical Standards team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and with others to resolve issues.
- Familiarity with the interpretation and application of Queensland legislation relating to ethical standards, including corrupt conduct, public interest disclosures and conflicts of interest.
