The Central Referral Intake Team in the Scheduled Care Unit (SCU) provides leadership and coordination of referral management and administrative services, supporting efficient access to outpatient care. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused services that meet the evolving needs of our community and healthcare partners.
We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.

About your role:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day administrative functions of the Central Referral Intake team, which includes setting and achieving priorities, workload distribution and management of employee resources to meet objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice on Central Referral Intake administrative workflows and processes. Knowledge of how these processes integrate and/or impact on the needs of Outpatient Services in CHHHS.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and ongoing training to SCU administrative staff in relation to the Smart Referrals Workflow Solution (SRWS) and associated systems, Referral Management, Own Source Revenue (OSR) and Activity Based Funding (ABF). In the absence of clear direction, give guidance on how to proceed prior to following up with appropriate agency.
