The position of Senior Program Officer will Contribute to the development and continued application of project management best practices and project frameworks, to ensure projects are managed in a consistent way to enable quality outcomes alongside the Delivery Director. The Senior Program Officer role will also support the Program Manager and manage components of large and complex Digital projects, ensuring they are monitored and delivered.

About the Team

Digital Project Delivery provides end-to-end project management and support for digital projects and improvement activities. Our core purpose is to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, remain aligned with standardised methodologies and organisational priorities and produce meaningful outcomes in digital health transformation for patients, families and staff. 

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Support the Digital Projects Program with the definition, documentation, and successful completion of large-scale projects in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies.
  • Assist with the management of complex work packages that define the delivery scope and ICT resource requirements for both inter agency, as well as statewide projects and initiatives.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment of staff, and ensure appropriate training, onboarding and orientation of the Digital Delivery Office and projects workforce.
  • Assist and support the Digital Program with reporting, budget, assurance and governance.
  • Assist in the triage and work up of new initiatives through the Digital Coordination Group.
  • Contribute to the development and ensure the continued application of project management best practices (including standards, methodologies, procedures, tools, templates and work instructions) and project reporting frameworks, to ensure projects are managed in a consistent way to enable quality outcomes.
