Your new role:
This accredited Provisional Fellowship provides an outstanding opportunity to develop advanced expertise in Obstetric Anaesthesia within one of Queensland's busiest maternity services. Working alongside experienced consultant anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide high-quality care across labour ward, obstetric theatres and high-risk maternity services while preparing for independent specialist practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia across labour, birth and emergency care.
- Participate in high-risk obstetric clinics, acute pain services and multidisciplinary care planning.
- Supervise junior medical staff while contributing to education, quality improvement and clinical audits.
- Lead a quality improvement, research or patient safety project focused on obstetric anaesthesia.
About you:
You're a motivated ANZCA trainee who is passionate about obstetric anaesthesia and committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centred care in a collaborative clinical environment.
Skills & Experience
- Eligible for ANZCA Provisional Fellowship with current medical registration or eligibility.
- Demonstrated interest and capability in obstetric anaesthesia and acute pain management.
- Strong clinical judgement, communication and teamwork skills in complex healthcare settings.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration.
