About the role
As a Senior Medical Officer / Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Cardiology – Echocardiography), you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist cardiac imaging services within the renowned Cardiology Program at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) and across Metro North Health. This position offers the opportunity to work within a leading tertiary referral centre, providing expert echocardiography services including transthoracic, stress and transoesophageal echocardiography to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provision of Echocardiography services (Transthoracic reporting, stress testing and transoesophageal echocardiography) to both inpatients and outpatients of The Prince Charles Hospital, Metro North Hospital and Health Service.
- Supervision of cardiac scientists and cardiology trainees performing echocardiographic examinations.
- Participation in the after-hours transthoracic and transoesophageal echo service as rostered.
- Attendance to administrative duties relating to the proper functioning of the Cardiology Program and The Prince Charles Hospital.
- Participation in advisory services to the Metro North Health Service District and appropriate committees of The Prince Charles Hospital as requested.
