About your opportunity

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) within AAMHIU you will provide expert clinical leadership, guidance, and support to staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care. You be at the forefront of providing evidence-based practice, supporting complex clinical decision-making, and promoting safe, trauma informed, recovery-oriented care in line with relevant legislation and standards.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (NG7)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
  • Allowances: District Northern Division East Nurse, Laundry Allowance, Environmental Allowance

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
  • Highly Desirable: Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2016.
  • Highly Desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
