The role:
The Principal Project Manager will manage the development and delivery of work packages to support enterprise applications, as part of concurrent DCP project's digital scope. A key part of the role will involve initiating, influencing and maintaining productive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, focussing on the management of expectations and effective communication, as well as risk and issue management.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Deliver multiple, parallel work packages to support projects ensuring project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered that are responsive to customer needs.
- Provide advice and strategic input to project deliverables, to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Queensland Health strategies and architecture.
- Guide, lead and mentor team members and ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project life cycle.
- Promoting and ensuring the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.
- Managing project resources, expenses and capital costs against forecasts.
Is this opportunity for you?
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in the leadership, design and delivery of large scale, complex/ high risk projects. You will possess a high level of expertise and knowledge of appropriate project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, and the ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools.
Proven experience in the configuration, testing and deployment of applications and system integration in health care facilities will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will possess a high level of negotiation and consultation skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. This will enhance your proven stakeholder management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to initiate, influence and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, you will have proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills as well as experience in leading, managing and mentoring an effective multi-disciplinary team.
