Your new role:

As a Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with the Logan Alcohol and Drug Service – Counselling and Psychosocial Services (CAFU8), you'll play a vital role in supporting parents and caregivers experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high-quality, family-centred interventions that build parenting capacity, enhance child wellbeing and promote recovery outcomes.

  • Deliver comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions and care planning for clients experiencing substance use and dependence issues.
  • Provide counselling, education, advocacy, care coordination and referrals to support recovery and family wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with consumers and carers to deliver compassionate and culturally responsive services.

About you:

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated allied health professional who is passionate about supporting families and creating meaningful change in the lives of children and parents impacted by alcohol and other drug use.

  • Experience delivering evidence-based assessments and interventions within mental health, alcohol and other drug, family or community settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
