About the Team
The Ellen Barron Family Centre (EBFC) is a residential facility providing services for early parenting support, through Parenting Education Programs. The Centre provides a service for well families with children aged birth to 3 years engaged with a primary care service provider or agency. EBFC specialises in providing child and family health information, education, strategies and support in a multidisciplinary environment, with discharge planning aimed at linking families back into local resources within their own community.
About the Role
The position of Senior Medical Officer 0.2FTE will:
- Provide support to Ellen Barron Family Centre (EBFC) in terms of Early parenting supports, early developmental supports and linkages to community services: including inpatient and telehealth opportunities.
- Provide support and leadership to the Ellen Barron Parenting programs and Child Health Nursing programs including the DayStay Plus Program and the Virtual Residential Parenting Service.
- Provide high level specialist Developmental and General paediatric services within a tertiary / community setting to ensure the provision of high quality, safe and family centred care within CHQ HHS and for designated outreach when required.
