Your new role:

Join Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services as a Nurse Practitioner, delivering advanced clinical care and leading innovative models of home-based treatment for consumers experiencing acute mental illness and alcohol withdrawal.

  • Provide autonomous, evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and care coordination for consumers with dual diagnosis and alcohol withdrawal management needs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Mental Health Hospital in the Home Alcohol Withdrawal Management Model of Care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver expert clinical leadership, mentoring and education while driving quality improvement, research and contemporary nurse-led models of care.
  • Work across community and hospital settings to improve consumer outcomes, enhance service integration and reduce unnecessary inpatient admissions.

 

 

About you:

You are an endorsed Nurse Practitioner who combines advanced clinical expertise with a passion for innovation, leadership and improving outcomes for people experiencing mental illness and alcohol and other drug issues.

  • Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in mental health and alcohol and other drug services, including alcohol withdrawal management.
  • Highly skilled in advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and evidence-based treatment within an autonomous scope of practice.
  • A collaborative clinical leader who builds strong multidisciplinary relationships and mentors others to deliver exceptional care.
  • Committed to service improvement, research and developing innovative models of care that enhance consumer experiences and outcomes.
