Your new role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide advanced clinical leadership across General Medicine at QEII Jubilee Hospital, supporting excellence in patient care and nursing practice across six medical wards.

  • Provide expert clinical leadership, consultancy and advanced nursing practice across General Medicine, including Stroke, Geriatrics, Palliative Care and Cardiology services.
  • Partner with the Nursing Director, Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Educators and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Lead quality improvement, clinical governance, service development and workforce capability initiatives, while driving innovation and implementing best practice standards.

About you:

About You

You are a highly skilled and collaborative nursing leader with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the development of others in a complex healthcare environment.

  • Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in General Medicine or a related specialty.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, using strong communication, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Experience leading quality improvement, evidence-based practice, clinical governance and change initiatives to enhance patient safety and service outcomes.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
