About us: 

Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the Health Service's facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment. Our multidisciplinary team of professional, operational, administrative and trade staff works together to ensure safe, reliable and high-quality environments that support the delivery of exceptional healthcare. With expertise spanning electrical, fitting, plumbing, carpentry, painting, heating and ventilation services, IAM plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that underpins patient care across the Health Service.

About your opportunity: 

  • Lead the provision of expert advice and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Committee and the CHHHS Board on capital delivery, projects, infrastructure planning, asset management, and maintenance, including monitoring national and international trends.
  • Oversee and be accountable for the delivery of minor works projects (typically under $1 million), ensuring high standards of project governance, consultation, communication, coordination, and control in accordance with Queensland Health policies and directives.
  • Provide leadership to Integrated Asset Management (IAM) and ensure its effective integration across all infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain compliance with Health Service policies and frameworks, including employment equity, anti‑discrimination, workplace health and safety, and ethical standards.
