Executive Support Officer AO4. The Cyber Security Unit (CSU) within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business is responsible for enhancing government cyber security capability. This team provides cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, and incident coordination. CSU also manages several whole-of government threat management services, works to optimise cyber awareness and resilience across Queensland and supports State-wide industry cyber development. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-level executive and administrative support to the General Manager – Cyber Security, managing office operations, coordinating communications, and contributing to effective governance, systems and stakeholder engagement.

As the Executive Support Officer to the General Manager - Cyber Security, you will:

  • Provide high level executive support, including confidential secretarial and administrative services. This includes maintaining the General Manager's diary, organising meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, corporate card reconciliation and preparing correspondence.
  • Effectively manage the shared mailbox for the Office of the General Manager Cyber Security, including but not limited to distributing requests, collating data, seeking approvals, managing incoming correspondence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of continuous improvement systems and processes and formal quality control methods to ensure a high standard of output and client service from the office.
  • Maintain internal registers and databases and overseeing an efficient information management and retrieval service for the office utilising a range of commercial software systems including SAP, Mincor and Microsoft office applications.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders through liaison with appropriate areas throughout the office, division and other agencies.
  • Undertaking research and project activities including data collection, collation and presentation of information as required; and
  • Actively participate as a member of the team to deliver a range of corporate governance support.
