The Manager, Recruitment is responsible for defining, developing and driving talent attraction and acquisition strategies for specialist cohorts including Child Safety Officers. This role directly contributes to the strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies for the Department through the leadership and management of recruitment services and strategic advice. The role will partner and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to source talent, build organisational capability and build our employer brand.

As a Manager you will:
- Lead and manage the recruitment and induction services required to successfully on-board candidates - optimising the performance of the team, through mentoring and guidance.
- Lead and manage the ongoing delivery and expansion of the Student Placement Program and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff and Student Career Program - providing ongoing advice to all stakeholders, including, executives, regions, universities, candidates and students.
- Manage the employee value proposition activities that assist in building the department as an employer of choice.
- Manage specialist cohort end-to-end recruitment including advertising, conducting qualification checks and phone interviews, maintaining database and coordinating candidate interviews.
- Lead the team in cultivating productive working relationships, collaborating and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of best practice talent sourcing and attraction recruitment processes - building innovative sourcing strategies and identifying qualified experienced professionals from the local and national market.
- Maximise strategic sourcing methodologies, internal and external networks, social media, talent pipelines, professional networks and our extensive database to deliver high quality candidates.
- Ensure a high standard of candidate care is maintained during the sourcing and onboarding of candidates.
- Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered in accordance with project plan/s and team deliverables.
- Represent the department across a range of arenas including at career and job fairs, and recruitment/industry events to source talent, foster strategic partnerships and build our employer brand.
