About the role
Older Persons Emergency Network (OPEN) Metro North Health (MNH) is an innovative service providing emergency care for frail and older people in their own homes, including residential aged care facilities. By offering an alternative to Emergency Department (ED) presentations, OPEN MNH enhances access to acute care in the community and strengthens connections between General Practice, community, and hospital services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ensure appropriate recruitment, retention and rostering of OPEN MNH SMOs and RMOs clinically and
- As required, to supervise medical staff and other multidisciplinary clinical staff assigned to the OPEN MNH
- To assist the CD in providing overall clinical governance of services as required for the MNH to manage a comprehensive clinical service within OPEN MNH.
- To provide expert Medical strategic and operational leadership along with the CD and Assistant Nursing Director (AND) to the OPEN MNH team.
