Join Transport and Main Roads and play a key role in shaping governance across major infrastructure programs. This role partners with senior leaders to monitor program performance across time, cost and governance, while driving improvements in reporting, systems and processes. You will support the delivery of QTRIP by providing strategic advice, identifying risks and influencing consistent approaches to project and program management. Based in Toowoomba, Bundaberg or Roma, you will work within a collaborative regional team delivering critical infrastructure outcomes for Queensland communities.

Are you an experienced governance professional looking to influence the delivery of major infrastructure programs across regional Queensland?

Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a high-performing Principal Advisor (Governance) to play a key role in strengthening program and project governance across the Southern Queensland Region. This is an opportunity to provide strategic advice, shape business processes, and support the effective delivery of critical transport infrastructure that connects communities and drives regional growth.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leaders to monitor program performance across time, cost and governance outcomes, while also leading initiatives to improve project management systems, reporting, and consistency. You will contribute to the development and oversight of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP), ensuring alignment with government priorities and regional outcomes.

You will bring strong governance capability, sound judgement, and the ability to influence stakeholders to adopt consistent approaches to project health reporting and analysis. Your experience will enable you to identify risks, recommend improvements, and support informed decision-making across complex programs of work.

Based in Toowoomba, Bundaberg or Roma, you will join a diverse and collaborative regional team responsible for delivering and managing a significant portion of Queensland's road network and infrastructure program.
