Your Contribution
The Manager will undertake objective systematic analysis and provide timely high level advice and analysis to Senior Executives to ensure the department achieves its desired outcomes in the provision of child and family services, including out of home care and after care services, secondary and tertiary support services, youth support services, including culturally responsive services to respond to the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
The Manager will work closely with all key stakeholders including within the department, central agencies of government, other State and Commonwealth government departments and the non-government sector to achieve both program and client outcomes.

Your responsibilities
As Manager you will:
• Lead a team in the delivery of system re-design and commissioning in relation to child and family services.
• Research and advise on contemporary commissioning and program frameworks, based on evidence and best practice locally, nationally and internationally.
• Ensure the delivery of high-level analysis, advice and recommendations of innovative approaches to new trends and issues that impact on service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
• Implement effective coordination and collaboration mechanisms with program, policy and regional stakeholders to ensure effective liaison and to inform the development, monitoring and review of key business requirements.
• Manage development and implementation, consistent with government commitments and directions set by the Minister and Director-General, meeting all deadlines and performance requirements, within budget while building the capacity of team members.
• Develop and maintain productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders across government and non-government sectors to ensure the successful design and delivery of programs and represent the unit on committees and working groups.
• Prepare high level strategic analysis and advice to assist the Director and Senior Executive Director to advise the Minister, Director-General and senior management.
• Contribute to strategic program frameworks, Cabinet Budget Review Committee submissions and evaluation models to enable government to deliver its Child and Family Services reform agenda.

• You possess extensive knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and philosophies relating to the provision of human and social services.
