Boynewood State School is a small school located in the North Burnett, approximately 190km west of Bundaberg. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Aide for our P-2 class to cover 12 months Long Service Leave in 2027.

About our School:

Boynewood State School have been proudly servicing the rural community of Boynewood since 1915. We implement the Australian Curriculum across Prep to Year 6 using the school's Whole School Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Framework. We use local specalist teachers to deliver the Music, LOTE and Health and Physical Education curriculum. Our dedicated staff are committed to maximising the ability of individual students and developing our students into confident learners. Our school strives to build, maintain and sustain productive partnerships with our parents and the local community. Boynewood's Parents and Citizens Association is very active and supportive of our small school. We strive to support each other to maximise our children's development and learning.

About the Role:

As the Teacher Aide, you will:

  • Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering learning programs and classroom activities.
  • Assist students with learning, wellbeing and personal care needs.
  • Supervise students during classroom, playground, bus and excursion activities.
  • Prepare and maintain teaching resources, equipment and learning environments.
  • Provide administrative support, including record keeping and preparing classroom materials.
  • Promote student health, safety and wellbeing, including first aid where appropriately trained.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families and staff while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support literacy, numeracy and inclusive learning programs.
