An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Supervisor Operations. Based in our branch's Safer Roads Infrastructure section, we embed the Safe System approach to achieve road safety outcomes based around creating safer speeds, safer roads and roadsides and evaluating the safety benefits of emerging vehicle technologies.
You will lead a team within Camera Operations to ensure key performance indicators are met by providing advice and guidance on business rules, legislative requirements, and processes. You will need to exercise sound judgement regarding operations and prioritise issues for escalation to management. We provide training in the relevant technology systems and build on your current technical and information systems knowledge and skills.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and direction to multi-disciplinary team to build workforce capability and facilitate ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. •Providing accurate, timely, and high-quality advice to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of HR policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Use a variety of information systems to analyse statistical data and generate dashboards and reports in line with key performance indicators.
- Ensure that activities and communications regarding road safety camera functions are compliant with relevant legislation, guidelines and procedures.
- Draft, quality assure, and approve correspondence, as well as lead and escalate interagency stakeholder enquiries regarding camera deployments and cameradetected offences.
- Coordinate enforcement camera resourcing, including the development and continual improvement of processes, procedures and systems to meet operational goals.
