About the Team
The Revenue Control team is made up of both the Revenue Operations team and the Patient Option Liaison Officers (POLOs). The Revenue Operations team is responsible for the patient and non-patient transactional activities across CHQ including corporate invoicing, inpatient hospital billing, ineligible patient billing, receipting, managing patient trust, quality audits of transactional system postings and monthly financial processing, performance reporting and analysis relating to Own Source Revenue (OSR) for distribution to the HHS. The Patient Option Liaison Officers (POLOs) are responsible for identification and utilisation of privately insured eligible and Medicare ineligible inpatients, private patient revenue reporting and analysis functions for CHQ.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the Financial Management framework including new developments, legislation and industry standards.
- Provide expert Revenue advice in relation to revenue transactional services and high-level support to clients within and external to CHQHHS
- Co-ordinate, manage, prioritise and maintain the official email account for the Revenue Department
- Daily audit of Cashiers' banking and monitoring the Petty Cash Float
- Process daily bank reconciliations for the CHQHHS Revenue Account, CHQHHS General Trust Account and CHQHHS Private Practice accounts
- Ensure reconciliation of accounts receivable systems, maintaining data integrity of source systems, investigating and correcting identified anomalies
