About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to provide high-level financial, analytical, and operational support to the Business Manager, Finance Manager and the Directorate. The role delivers detailed financial analysis, monitoring, reporting, and strategic advice to support effective resource allocation, performance management, and decision-making across the facilities and services lines.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver detailed financial analysis of cost centre budgets, FTE and expenditure tracking, and variance analysis across the Directorate and service lines, to provide accurate and timely advice on financial position, risks, and sustainability.
- Monitor financial performance across service lines and interpret complex data from multiple systems (including S4/HANA, MyHR, IWFM and Anaplan) to develop tailored reports and provide strategic insights on trends, risks, and opportunities to the Business Manager, Finance Manager, and Executive Leadership.
- Analyse FTE and expenditure variances, errors, and exceptions across cost centres; work with stakeholders to resolve issues and develop workarounds where existing systems do not inherently support the complexity of the funding environment.
