The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a motivated Senior Operations Officer (AO5) to join the Regional Operations team in Southport. This fulltime, temporary position (14 September 2026 - 10 September 2027, with possible extension) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of passenger and school transport services. In this role, you will supervise a small team, manage the School Transport Assistance Scheme, and ensure compliance with service contracts. You'll provide frontline customer service, including handling complaints and offering advice on legislation, policy, and operational delivery. Key responsibilities include monitoring office and data systems to support governance, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and coordinating responses to natural disasters or emergencies.
