Drive meaningful change across a complex, high-profile operational program. This Business Analyst role is focused on business process improvement, reporting, governance and stakeholder engagement, rather than technical or software development activities. We're looking for a business-focused Business Analyst who is passionate about understanding how organisations work, improving business processes and helping leaders make informed decisions through stronger reporting and governance.

You'll work across a diverse range of business functions, partnering with leaders and stakeholders to analyse, map and improve business processes that support governance, assurance, reporting and decision-making. If you enjoy asking questions, understanding how a business operates and identifying practical opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You'll work alongside leaders and stakeholders across the NFAEP to understand how different parts of the organisation operate, analyse how information flows through the business and identify practical opportunities to improve processes, reporting and decision-making.

Beginning with the team's own governance, reporting and assurance functions, you'll document and refine end-to-end business processes, develop clear supporting documentation and help ensure critical knowledge is captured and shared. You'll then partner with operational and corporate teams across the broader program to understand how their processes contribute to reporting and organisational outcomes. Through stakeholder engagement, process analysis and business improvement, you'll help strengthen governance, improve consistency and support data-informed decision-making across the NFAEP.

In This Role, You Will

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the NFAEP and help them understand, document and improve the way their business areas operate.
  • Analyse, map and document current and future-state business processes.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear requirements, practical recommendations and achievable improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse how information flows through the business and strengthen reporting capabilities to support evidence-based decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Support governance, assurance, risk management and compliance through effective process analysis, mapping and documentation.
  • Facilitate workshops, consultations and stakeholder discussions to understand business challenges and identify practical solutions.
  • Develop sustainable and consistent processes that improve operational effectiveness, support knowledge sharing and reduce reliance on individual knowledge holders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across business processes, reporting and organisational capability.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience analysing, mapping and improving business processes within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and practical outcomes.
  • Experience analysing data, developing reports and identifying business insights.
  • A sound understanding of governance, assurance, risk management, compliance and continuous improvement principles.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across teams and deliver quality outcomes.
  • A proactive, analytical and solutions-focused approach, with a willingness to ask questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
