The Women and Newborn Unit brings together Maternity, Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), Extended Midwifery Services and the Neonatal Nursery to deliver personalised, evidence-based care.
With a strong focus on continuity, cultural safety and family-centred practice, the unit empowers women to receive high-quality maternity care close to home from a passionate team committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for each family.
About the role:
- Guide women and families through every stage of their maternity journey, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care across Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Postnatal and Gynaecology services.
- Be a trusted clinical leader, providing hands-on support, mentoring and guidance to midwives, nurses, students and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for mothers and babies.
- Shape the day-to-day flow of the maternity service, coordinating patient care, admissions, discharges and staff resources to ensure a safe, seamless experience for every family.
- Champion a culture of quality and safety, using your advanced clinical expertise to drive best practice, manage clinical risk and continually improve maternity care.
About you:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife; a relevant post graduate qualification would be highly regarded.
- A confident and compassionate clinical leader who can guide and support midwifery teams while working collaboratively with medical and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of maternity and neonatal care, with a commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and achieving the best outcomes for women, babies and families.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to provide sensitive, respectful care while fostering positive partnerships with patients, families and colleagues.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $139,252 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
