About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to provide efficient administration support including efficient booking services for Specialist Outpatient Services (SOPD) and provide efficient utilisation of booking time available for Consultants and Clinicians. This Position provides a high level of customer service, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive attitude. This position is responsible and accountable for assisting with the management of the waiting lists in accordance with Queensland Health Policy.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide administration support for the daily operational activities of the specialist outpatient department & ambulatory services, including reception duties, patient admissions, accurate referral and data management, and appointment scheduling, in accordance with relevant Queensland Health policies, procedures, and legislative guidelines.
- This position provides administrative support to services in Specialist Outpatient & Ambulatory Services such as Outpatient Reception/s, Outpatient Call Centre, Booking services, Oncology, Antenatal and Allied Health services.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined below.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Queensland Health Specialist Outpatient Implementation Standards (SOSIS).
- Proficiently complete functions associated with the bookings for procedures/appointments, managing procedure/appointment cancellations, confirmations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list/clinics using the relevant information systems ensuring alignment with the Implementation Standards and seeking involvement of Clinicians as necessary.
