About the Team
Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We care for approximately 70,000 children and young people every year, treating a range of conditions, from acute injuries and illnesses to life-threatening conditions.
About the Role
In this role you will utilise CHQ's resources to maximise the positive impact we have for children, young people and families (Leader of Function) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Coordination of the workload priorities of the NUM, ensuring the development and maintenance of efficient follow-up and record management systems for all Emergency Nursing Staff.
- Effectively and efficiently manage NUM diary scheduling, including associated booking of meeting facilities, equipment and catering in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of staff and demonstrated ability to act as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team. Manage incoming communication to ensure accurate transfer of messages and information.
- Provide a high degree of autonomy in preparation and processing of payroll documentation, including staff movements, AVAC's, Integrated Workforce Management (IWFM) tool and the Hospital Roster System (HRS) updates and Leave Requests in line with industrial awards and agreements and the Business Practice Framework.
- Record nursing roster into IWFM, per the HRS roster in a timely and accurate manner. Liaise with and support the Emergency Department Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Operations with maintaining IWFM for Emergency Nursing staff.
