In the role of Administration Support Officer (Procurement), you will provide support to the Senior Program Advisor and other members of the procurement team developing and processing procurement and contract documentation to facilitate the timely engagement of contractors and suppliers partnering the Department of Transport and Main Roads (Metropolitan Region) in the delivery of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment program.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the coordination of procurement activities on a range of contract types for the Metropolitan Region.
- Participate in the preparation of procurement documents to ensure the timely engagement of contractors and suppliers in consultation with project managers.
- Promote and reinforce the need for internal control processes and continuous improvements that support effective business planning, and program/project delivery outcomes.
- Liaise with counterparts for provision of advice and the gaining of further knowledge with the aim of refining local business processes and practices.
- Ensure successful business outcomes through effective time management, provision of timely and accurate procurement advice relevant to assigned activities and accurate documentation.
Requirements of the role
- Qualifications and or previous experience in Procurement roles will be highly regarded.
- SAP experience in previous roles.
- Experience with use of Contract Management Systems (3PCM or other) is desirable.
