The role:
Digital Capital Program require an experienced Alcatel & Cisco Voice, Paging and Messaging resource who can design, implement, and troubleshoot voice solutions using a variety of design tools, management and monitoring systems.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will:
- Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of complex solutions for voice / telephony / unified communications. Ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures.
- You will specify and design complex systems and recommend the strategy of how to migrate eHealth to the proposed solutions, document the design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensures effective application.
- Undertake an evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations. Conduct configuration changes on systems in line with programs of work and the Enterprise Change Management system. You will be required to undertake out of hours work in conjunction with changes and implementations.
- Validate vendor designs, assure implementation plans, review bills of material, and statement of works.
- Maintain and improve your specialism (knowledge of current and emerging products, technologies and trends) whilst promoting an environment of continuous improvement within the enterprise.

To be successful in this role, you will have a demonstrated ability to lead the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of Enterprise technical solutions/ ICT changes to industry best practice frameworks for large scale IM/ICT infrastructure delivery projects, preferably in the health care industry.
- Demonstrated ability to design, assess, review, advise on both high-level and detailed technical specifications to support the integration of Telephony, Paging, Messaging, and Unified Communications (TPM-UC) services into Queensland Health Hospitals including technologies such as:
- Unified communications
- SIP Voice Carriage Technologies
- Alcatel Telephony systems and services
- Cisco Unified Communications Systems
- Paging and Messaging Solutions
- Integration into existing hospital systems (Nurse call, Duress, RTLS, Wi-Fi, Network)
- The ability to work closely with builders, third-party integrators, eHealth Queensland Service Management Teams and project teams to ensure the delivery of ICT services to Queensland Health standards.
- Strong background in ICT solution design, review, change assessment, and technical assurance in line with service management and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with ICT governance processes, standard operating environments, and technical design assurance.
- The capability to manage multiple stakeholders and act as the key technical escalation point for complex telephony and messaging solutions.
- You will be confident in providing high level technical advice on design standards, techniques, methods and tools, as well as assessing and evaluating technical requirements. Crucially, you will bring a positive and proactive approach to work and be able to work effectively and collaboratively within a high performing team. Your well-developed problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to effectively negotiate, advise, influence and consult with stakeholders to guide project delivery.
