The Queensland Revenue Office is seeking applications to fill a permanent AO4 Revenue Officer role in Brisbane.
This vacancy exists within the Duties & Grants division, which is responsible for managing essential client services to support the delivery of $5.4B in duty revenue for the state including transfer duty assessments, administration of grants, registration and support to our self-assessor and approved agents, and compliance activities to manage revenue risks.
This process may also be used to fill future vacancies in Brisbane across the Taxes, Revenue and Grants Group within the next 12 months.

As a Revenue Officer, you will analyse, interpret, and apply relevant legislation and policy on revenue and taxation matters; follow approved procedures, make assessments, approve grants, respond to technical enquiries, exercise delegations and coach team members to deliver excellent service to our clients.
Your typical day as a Revenue Officer may include:
• Registering and assessing clients.
• Assist the team leader in supporting and coaching team members to ensure a client-centric approach.
• Analyse, interpret, and apply relevant legislation and policy.
• Answering client phone calls and responding to technical enquiries, ensuring a positive client experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• High level interpersonal skills and strong client focus.
• Ability to build working knowledge of digital and data technology/systems.
• Experience in contributing towards team outcomes.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation and/or policy or the ability to rapidly acquire this capability.
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications are highly regarded (e.g. law, business or accounting).
