Role details
The Information, Communication and Technology team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Cyber Awareness and Engagement Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Cyber Engagement Officer provides specialised advice and operational support to Mackay Hospital and Health Service's cyber security workforce, training, awareness and communication initiatives. Key deliverables of the role include planning and delivering cyber security training programs, managing awareness campaigns, facilitating tabletop incident response exercises and engaging with clinical and non-clinical staff to empower employees and drive a strong cyber security culture.
The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to keep up to date on the current cyber threat landscape and to ensure initiatives align with organisational goals, government policies and statewide campaigns.
About the Team
Digital and Information Services encompasses several teams not limited to the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Department, Health Information Services, Informatics and Digital Health Solutions. The ICT Department encompasses two streams of delivery ICT operations and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) uplift. This position will also working closely with the Digital and Information Management teams, to drive Cyber Awareness maturity within a contemporary health care environment.
