We're excited to welcome a Nurse Manager or Program Manager Continuing Care Team North to Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS). This position will manage the operational delivery of clinical services for this multi-disciplinary clinical team within Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) within SCHHS. The position will provide leadership and direction in partnership with the Consultant Psychiatrist to clinicians within a multidisciplinary team framework and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of safe, quality and cost effective mental health care and discipline specific care, consistent with contemporary standards, policies and best practice within the mental health service setting.

Key Responsibilities include:
Program Manager
- Deliver a specialist level of skill in one or more areas of a complex or critical nature with the ability to independently apply specialist and novel judgement to meet the needs of patients across the continuum of care.
- Provide high-level clinical support and advice to staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the management and problem solving regarding clinically complex patients.
- Possess advanced clinical leadership abilities and facilitates the integration of services across specialties within a clinical area to coordinate the delivery of effective community / sub-acute team services across Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
- Provide high-level clinical advice within area of expertise to clinicians, professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, service initiatives, service needs and clinical service development.
Nurse Manager
- Accountable for NMBA and own standards, actions and the outcomes of own nursing/midwifery practice, professional advice given and for activities delegated to a registered nurse/registered midwife, enrolled nurse or unregulated healthcare worker.
- Demonstrate advanced application of clinical and professional leadership.
- Provide leadership in professional decision -making through the application of advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
- Coordinate clinical practice delivery in a clinical specialty or area of expertise.
Remuneration value up to $173 368 p.a., comprising salary between $139 951 - $151 949 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5, Nurse Grade 7).
