Manager Sentence and Case Management
Sentence Management Services; Specialist Operations; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Spring Creek
In this role you will be required to provide operational leadership and management to sentence and case management staff, both at individual locations and where required across broader regional hubs.
The position is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and governance oversight of all tasks within the sentence management portfolio. In some instances where multiple equivalent positions exist at one location, the roles may be streamed by function e.g. sentence administration or prisoner engagement/case management, at other times, the role will be required to oversee all sentence and case management functions.
Management of the work unit’s human resource functions is also required and this will include; managing staff performance, training and development, as well as analysis of trends and workloads to ensure adequate resource allocation within their teams.

The most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experiences against these essential role requirements of the Team Leader leadership stream:
• Experience and demonstrated skill leading and managing a team including the application of human resource management processes
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, respond to new and unexpected events and appropriately escalate issues
• Experience in the criminal justice environment including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and practice directives in an operational environment is preferable or alternatively possess a similar work experience that demonstrates your ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge
• Ability to manage governance and oversight systems, and experience in quality assurance
• Ability to build and manage relationships with peers, team members, internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to promote and maintain a learning environment where staff development is valued and supported and seen as an integral feature of the work environment
