Reporting to the IWFM Program Director, this role will lead implementation of the IWFM Program, a large scale, ICT enabled business improvement program, and drive the achievement of transformation outcomes across Queensland Health for all Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health. This role ensures outcomes meet customer needs, align with enterprise goals, and reflect QPS values, while fostering a high-performing team culture.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and assume responsibility for the development, management and implementation of the IWFM Program, including the statewide rollout of workforce management and rostering capabilities across Queensland Health.
  • Provide strategic leadership and expert advice to direct end-to-end program planning and execution, ensuring implementation activities are purpose-driven, operationally informed and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage and mentor a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of project leaders and specialist resources, driving excellence in performance and capability.
  • Provide strategic oversight of integrated program delivery across technology, business process, data, change, training and deployment components, ensuring effective coordination, avoiding duplication and managing interdependencies and risks.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience delivering major, complex workforce management, rostering, payroll or roster-to-pay transformation programs, preferably within a large and geographically dispersed public health environment.
  • Proven expertise in leading the end-to-end implementation and deployment of enterprise workforce management solutions across complex service delivery organisations, including implementation planning, operational readiness, transition, adoption and benefits realisation.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale organisational change and engage executives, operational leaders, clinicians, workforce representatives and employees to achieve consistent program outcomes across multiple business units or service locations.
