About the role

Temporary part time opportunity to manage the operational aspects of the clinical physiotherapy service, deliver advanced level physiotherapy clinical services and provide leadership, education and supervision for the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) Physiotherapy work unit and other areas as required.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver advanced level Physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services, utilising advanced level clinical judgement and informed by evidence based practice, across specialty areas in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Actively maintain professional development for own professional standards and also to enhance the skills and knowledge of the physiotherapy team and wider multi-professional teams.
  • Provide advanced level clinical advice to supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional clinical standards, workforce issues and clinical service development to enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes.
  • Lead, operationally manage and coordinate the physiotherapy services within the Neurosciences work unit including responsibility for:
    • Providing advice on strategic direction in accordance with local and state-wide priorities.
    • Performance of work unit staff, including performance appraisal.
