About your opportunity:
To support the delivery of quality operational services, specifically cleaning and support on call roster at Magnetic Island Health Service. The position may be required to participate in an out-of-business-hours on-call roster to fulfil the role of ‘second-on-call'. The ‘second on call' supports the nursing staff in the fulfillment of the ‘Never Alone' policy and procedure.
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values, as outlined above.
- Maintenance of a clean, hygienic environment within client areas, units or departments by the implementation of systemised cleaning procedures.
- Work to routines as provided by the Director Of Nursing / Facility Manager, as appropriate to the area.
- Apply the Queensland Health Policy and Guidelines for cleaning.
- Monitor work areas for facility defects and report same to management early, to minimise time interval to repair/replace.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, where patient information might unofficially become known.
- Comply with the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and anti-discrimination practices and behaviour in the work Environment.

Competitive salary and benefits:
- Casaul rates: $40.22 to $42.91 p.h. (OO2)
Requirements:
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
