About us:
Rural and Remote Services comprise of seven health service facilities ranging in Clinical Service Capability (CSCF) levels 2-3. These facilities are located across the Cassowary, Douglas, Hinterland Hubs, Herberton, and Yarrabah.
Atherton Hospital is comprised of a 57-bed acute hospital with the following support services community health services, oncology day unit, allied health services, dental, community home care and mental health services.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will…
- Take the lead for bed management co-ordination and admissions are distributed, accounting for acuity, workload, and staffing. This includes Interhospital Transfers.
- Have an understanding and the ability to apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure a work environment meets legislative standards and CHHHS procedures for nursing, operational and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular rounding of wards/units to workloads are being managed, breaks are taken, patients that require increased supervision are reviewed with appropriate resource allocation for the provision of safe clinical care.
