What your day could look like

As a Senior Social Worker, you'll play a key role in improving mental health outcomes for adults across the region. From providing expert clinical support to shaping service improvements and mentoring colleagues, you'll work with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver meaningful care and lasting impact.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing advanced assessment, intervention and care planning that supports recovery and positive consumer outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with consumers, families, carers and partner services to coordinate effective care.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and enhance patient experiences.
  • Supporting the growth of others through supervision, mentoring, education and shared professional learning.

You're someone who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You bring sound judgement to complex situations, communicate with confidence, and work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for consumers and their support networks. Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Eligibility for professional membership as a qualified Social Worker and a current C Class driver's licence.
  • Significant experience delivering high-level social work services within adult mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills that support effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead service improvements, influence practice and support the development of others.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate studies in mental health and/or experience leading clinical practice, quality initiatives or service development projects.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about improving mental health outcomes and creating positive change for individuals, families and communities.
